According to details released on the UPSC official website, the results are based on candidates’ combined performance in the written examination held on September 1, 2024, and the interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The commission has clarified that all selected candidates are currently under provisional status, pending verification of their eligibility documents.

As reported by Hindustan Times, Imon Ghosh has secured the top position in this year’s merit list. The list includes successful candidates who will be joining the 153rd NDA course and the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).

The UPSC emphasized that candidates must now submit their original documents—such as proof of birth and academic qualifications—to their respective Service Headquarters (Army, Navy, or Air Force) as early as possible.

This result is a crucial milestone for aspirants seeking a career in India’s defence forces. According to Indian Express, the announcement has brought relief and excitement to thousands of hopefuls awaiting their final status after months of preparation and evaluation.

The NDA and NA exams are among the most prestigious and competitive in the country, and clearing them not only reflects academic merit but also leadership potential, discipline, and a strong commitment to national service.

The full list of qualified candidates can be accessed directly from the UPSC’s official portal at upsc.gov.in.
